"The Little Way"

What is "The Little Way"?

The Little Way comes from the Philosophy of St Therese of Lisieux (also known as The Little Flower) who is known for doing smalls things with great love. She believed that no task was too ordinary and it is through these small, daily tasks that change can be cultivated.  When it comes to our mental health and well-being we too believe that no task is too small to create change; in fact, we count on them to do so because we know how overwhelming life can be and the idea of trying to add one more thing to your plate can be incredibly daunting.  As practitioners, we meet our clients where they are at and we start where it feels manageable to do so, no matter how small or insignificant that may seem.  We follow "The Little Way" by adopting a spirit of servitude and humility in our work with others.  We believe that every person is valuable deserving of unconditional positive regard, respect and acceptance.  As such, cultivating an atmosphere of safety and hope for our clients is of utmost importance to us in our work.
